Social Equality Workshop Spring 2017

Shortly after the 2016 election, designed an intimate workshop and panel discussion with community activists in downtown Boise with three other individuals. Our panel included ACLU of Idaho, community organizers, filmmakers and others, who walked through positive actions to support minority communities.

Computer Science Workshop Summer 2017 and December 2017

Conducted a Made with Code workshop for Middle School students in San Francisco and Mountain View, Ca area. Worked with a non-profit organization, Girl STEM Stars, to conduct the workshop at Google offices. The workshop lasted about 4 hours.

Design Thinking Workshop Summer 2018

Two-part workshop delivered over 1 month to teach 30 computer science college interns in the Bay area about Design Thinking. The curriculum and staffing was done by Stanford Innovation Fellows. Which is a fellowship network for undergraduates to learn leadership skills and to develop design thinking workshops. I was inducted into this network in February 2017.

Robotics Workshop December 2018

In December 2018, developed and taught a robotics curriculum for about 30 students in San Diego, CA to design autonomous robot mini-cars. This six-hour workshop served Black students from ages 5 to 18. Every student was able to complete the robot and take it home for further learning.

Understanding Cultural Bias in AI July 2019

In July 2019, facilitated a workshop at Agile Testing Day in Chicago, IL. This was an 8-hour workshop on toolkits and frameworks to understand bias in Artificial Intelligence in order to create better products. Conducted the workshop with a co-facilitator and attendees who were product managers.
